SPECIALTY FOOD WORKSHOPS

Join us for workshops on preserving the harvest and creating healthful food and specialty beverages.  Classes are approximately 2 to 2½ hours in length and the cost is $35 person.

COMPOUND BUTTERS Make & Take – Fri, Nov 10, 5 to 7:30 pm

Learn to make three varieties of compound butter:  Maple-Cinnamon, Fresh Herb, and Create Your Own Blend-choose from a variety of herbs and spices.  The farm supplies everything needed including Trickling Springs organic butter – plus a demo/discussion on how to freeze your butters for future use.

THANKSGIVING FLAVORS Make & Take – Fri, Nov 17, 5 to 7:30 pm

Get ready for the holidays!  We’ll go to the garden to harvest farm-fresh herbs where you’ll select your favorites for a Fresh Herb Bouquet.  Then learn to make a seasonal Cranberry-Jalapeno jam.  And finally select your own custom blend of herbs and spices to create your own Herb/Spice Rub and Herb Dip Mix.  The farm supplies everything needed plus a demo/discussion on how to preserve your bounty for future use.
