Sue is a wonderful part of the Oak Hart family. She always shows up with a smile, a kind heart, and a willingness to help wherever the need is greatest. We are so appreciative of the time and energy she has generously shared with both Oak Hart Farm and our community. 2026 FARM MARKET

Greetings, Oak Hart Family and Friends!

At Oak Hart Farm, one of the things we value most is sharing the harvest with our community. Each week during the growing season, we donate fresh produce to our local food bank so that nutritious, locally grown vegetables can reach families who may not otherwise have access to them.

Fresh produce is one of the most needed—and often least available—items in food assistance programs. While shelf-stable foods are important, fresh vegetables provide essential nutrition and are a gift many families rarely receive. We feel honored to be able to contribute a portion of our harvest each week.

This effort would not be possible without the wonderful volunteers who generously give their time to help harvest, wash, sort, and package produce for donation. Their willingness to lend a hand allows more food to leave our fields and reach the tables of neighbors in need.

We would love to welcome additional volunteers who share our passion for community service and good food. Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the season, but early Monday and Tuesday mornings are typically when we need the most help. Whether you can join us once or become a regular volunteer, every extra set of hands makes a meaningful difference.

To all of our volunteers—past, present, and future—thank you. Your kindness, hard work, and generosity help transform vegetables grown in our fields into meals for families throughout our community. Together, we are nourishing more than people; we are strengthening the connections that make a strong community. ❤️

FARM HAPPENINGS

One of the easiest (and most underrated!) ways to get huge flavor into any dish is to use fresh-harvested herbs. See the table below for nutritional info, flavor profiles and usage ideas for our favorites!


MARKET REMINDERS

As we get back in the swing of the season, we wanted to remind you of a couple things!

  • First, please remember to take your time as you drive into the market, as we have workers and children and customers all walking about. 
  • Second, we recommend bringing your own bags and/or coolers to take your purchases home. Better for the produce AND the environment!
  • Third, WASH YOUR VEGGIES! We rarely wash produce before offering it to sell, as it stays fresher longer that way. If you choose not to wash your produce, we can promise you won’t be eating pesticides, but we can’t promise that you won’t be eating manure. 😂
